I'm wondering: Are there any websites where I can browse for paid internships in Europe?
FYI: I'm looking for a mechanical engineering internship preferably somewhere in western Europe, I'm from Poland, I'm on my 7th and last semester of bachelor studies.

look at company websites and the usual job sites.

Not sure if that still is legal, but years ago when the economy was more depressed, many internships were unpaid or paid very little (as in less than McDonalds)

If you are in your last semester, don't you just want to look for a real entry level job?

The reason I don't want to look for a real entry level job yet is that I'm on my last semester of bachelor studies, and I'm taking a semester break before I start master studies.

You could try a more roundabout way. Check if it is possible to get an exchange semester to another country/university and see/check if thy can offer you what you need.

Hey, Damian, check out Erazmus+ Internships at your University. Rzeszow Technical University (Poland, where I studied) had great list of all possible companies that signed agreements with them. Check FB grups like this one: for more information from people who already did it.
And remember you can find companies yourself and then offer them to sign an agreement with Uni. They will be paid little amount of money for you from Erazmus+ programm and some companies also refund costs of living (In Berlin for example).

P.S. I was looking for similar Internships at Warsaw Polytechnic for my brother and I discovered their website was not organized as good as in Rzeszow which is obviously a smaller city so I recommend you checking which Universities in Poland have these lists well organized. Later try to contact them and sign agreement with your Uni and you particularly. Good Luck!
