We manufacture large process equipment. We have some that will be going to Europe. As such it has been determined that we should follow EN 1090-2. Part of the structural framing is stainless steel. EN 1090-2 stipulates that stainless should conform to EN 10088-4 or EN 10088-5. I need 25mm thick x 150mm wide stainless bar to use as a cover plate. We, mistakenly I think, submitted RFQ's for EN 1088-4 bar with the appropriate material, etc. Only one company quoted and that was for EN 10088-3. I think we should have requested EN 10088-5 but it seems strange to me that no one asked, "Did you mean EN 10088-5?" Anyway, that's the long-winded background. I've spent all morning searching for this stuff with no luck. Most website do a piss poor job of telling you just what standards they adhere too. So, you folks that are accustomed to buying EN 10088-5 stainless steel bar for buildings (both of you). Where do you get it from?
