It has come to my attention that when compressor discharge temperatures rise in the 300 / 325° range, a insulating barrier can form on the interior tubing walls. The system spec's are R-502 with alkybenzene oil.
This has been named "coke". I have seen compressor heads that are lined with a brown coating, this may be a flag. My goal is to restore the heat transfer in the evap coil to original. My question is, can anyone shed any light on processes or proceedures that can restore the heat transfer.
