Example of guardrail structural check 1

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone's weekend was excellent.

I was wondering if there is a place where i could find a design example of a guardrail (with the design loads as per occupational health and safety to the structural check of members and connections).

This might seem like a trivial design, but i did not want to miss anything in the design because the guardrail is already installed and it looked a bit wobbly to me.

You mean timber guard rails? No, but using the deck guardrail designs in DCA6 is a good place to start if you want to compare something that's existing. Keep in mind that it's for residential decks, which don't require the 50plf load case. Otherwise...it's the same basic procedure as the other one but you use wood.
