Hello!
This is my first visit to this forum, so maybe I missed it.

Well, I am a student of architecture and I am working on a school project in which I want to make some architecture underground. I would like to build car parking places and multifunkcional cultural centre (theater, concert...) for about 500 visitors.

I am looking for such examples, but I had no luck. It is not necessary to have the same functions I mentioned, it is more important to me to get some feeling about the ranges for such structures.

Best regards and thank you!

Peter

hello peterp,

underground arcitecture is not my specialty. I just happen to know that in norway has been constructed an underground ice-skating field with extreme dimensions. I don't know its name to help you, but NGI was responsible for the design from rock mechanics point of view. Maybe they have infomationthat could be of interest to you.
The other case i know (a rather old one) is the rehabilitation of old salt mine spaces in Poland or the former Checkoslovakia but I don't think that this involved very important underground spaces.

Sorry for the poor information but I'll keep you in mind
Regards
