Excel link within a template

Hi,

Can anyone help me. Im creating a drawing template and I want to link parameters from a spreadsheet which will vary for each new drawing. Will Inventor create a new spreadsheet every time i create a drawing? or will I have to manually copy spreadsheet and re-link it to the new drawing?
