Excessive deformation errors

Dear all,

I am simulating the point load on top aluminium heads. I have assigned surface-to-surface interaction between the bearing plate and the TOP Hat. Because the model is very complex, I am using dynamic explicit model. It is giving me an error of excessive deformations.

What possible mistake do you reckon

I am making?

Check the location of those distorted elements (they were added to a set).
