Excessive file size?????

Hi,

Recently I started working on a drawing that should be about 500kb but is now close to 4,000 kb (with very little additional info. added) and grows anout 3 kb each time a save it even if I've done nothing to the drawing. I have purged the drawing and even went as far as to remove all entities on all layers. There is STILL a 3,500 kb "object?" hidden somewhere and I can't find it.

Any clues to any of this?
