I have asked Exe II T4 Lighting Fixture in the forum but I didn't get clear answer.
Exe protection does not need to mark Gas Group, as it is made to increased safety, which means it does not ignite whatever gas group is A, B, C. That's why gas group is not marked. In addition to that, I have checked Euro Norm.
But, I have seen Exe IIA T3 on CHALMIT Lighting Catalogue.
Can I adopt Exe II T4 lighting fitting on area where IIB T4(Zone 1) is required ? It is quite important to me.

If II means IIA or IIB or IIC, then why could you not use a fixture marked II for a gas in Group B?

shkim2000,

Same question as weh3 pointed out.

Yes. My intention is to use Exe II for gas group B as you guys advised.

If the fixture is marked IIA, I'd check with the manfacturer before using it in a IIB area. The T3 is a hint that there may be something amiss in the disignation. That's a high temperature for a lighting fixture I think.
