Expedition and the Palm Pilot 1

Can Expedition's Mobile module be used when Expedition resides on a server and not on the local machine? ie when the local CPU is acting as a dumb terminal.

I am using expedition in Dubai ,we are the contractor and software runs in the client office server,which is 1 km from our office we are connected wireless thro 2 antennas fixed at the our office and the client / consultants office,the system work perfect.
