Has anyone had experience with using Hycrete as the only waterproofing component of a wall and slab several feet below the water table? Did it perform? Do you know the cost difference? Any other problems?

Have no experience with Hycrete; however, not a fan of waterproofing admixtures for concrete. They deteriorate with time. There is no substitute for a true barrier system to prevent water from getting to the concrete or masonry.

That is my exactly my feeling however I am asked this question repeatedly and wondering if anyone has had positive experience. It's one of those risk vs reward issues.... high risk for small $$ reward. All of these spaces are occupied by various condo uses which equals big liability.

Thanks for your comment.

@BSE05....considering the litigious nature of condominiums, I would opt for a more robust waterproofing than a concrete additive. A proper membrane and supplementary drainage would be my approach.
