Hi
I was wondering if there's a way to excluded edge to edge contact in a explicit general contact interaction? CAE gives you the option to excluded surface pairs but not edge pairs.
I have two beam parts with different section properties (pipe and circular) assembled concentrically. These parts form part of a larger assembly. For each part I've used a shell surfaces to define the beam's profile to enable contact between the parts to be included. I've added the surfaces as beam to beam contact was insufficient for my needs. As the beams are assembled concentrically, Abaqus reports unresolved overclosures at the wire edges used to define the beam parts. I'd like Abaqus to ignore these edges in the general contact interaction.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
