Hi all. I've been trying to run this simulation as a quasi-static explicit mechanics problem. In the video attached, the parts are all set as rigid bodies whereas the cylinders are flexible elastics set to a rubber material.
As seen in the video, the cylinders are to act as connectors between the parts. The intention is that the top plane of the cylinder and the plane of the part remain coincident. For some reason, however, this is true only for some of the connectors. One of the them even just "pops" out of place without stretching.
Hence, how can I ensure all of these cylinder connectors exhibit the same behavior?
For what it's worth, I modeled these assemblies in Solidworks and then imported them into Workbench as .igs files. Also, in ANSYS Mechanical I only used the body interactions features. I deleted the automatically generated contacts but might those be of some value?
