explode a detail

hi everyone, i'm starting with v5 from v4.
just one question,i noticed that i must select the 2d dwg and copy the whole dwg from v4 on a catdwg to perform functions avalaible on v5 (it happens also for 3d dwgs).
the v4 dwg was full of details.
now i need to explode the details into it.
how to do?

When you copy/paste the V4 Views into your V5 CATDrawing, CATIA should automatically convert your V4 Draw Details/Dittos into V5 Drawing Components/Instances. They tend to pile on top of each other on the Component sheet, but that's easily remedied by draging the views around.
