exploded view animator

In the exploded view animator, the default total explode/collapse time is set to 4 sec. Is there a way to change this?

There are the "Slow Play" and "Fast Play" options that can adjust the time to 8 sec. and 2 sec., respectively. Are you trying to adjust it beyond that?

Even on 1/2 speed, an assembly of 40ish parts & 20 steps zooms too fast to see. I would like to stretch it out to maybe 20 or 30 seconds.

I'm not aware of a way to do that directly in SW, but what about using the Animator add-in? You could set whatever time frame you wanted, and you could use the unexploded and exploded states as start and end points.
