exploded views - show/hide component 1

In modeling, I created an exploded view, exploded components and hid a few components I didn't think I'd need on the drawing. After I place the view in drafting, I realize that I do need 1 of the hidden components. After I go back to modeling and unhide the component and update the view in drafting, the component still does not show up - why? If I delete the view and add a new one it will show up correctly, but I have a lot of annotations and such that I would lose if I did that. I am running NX2 (2.0.6.2), is there a workaround, and (for those running NX3) is this a problem in NX3 as well?

Cowski,

You should be able to do this in drafting. There is a unhide component in view or show component in view function.

I think it's Assemblies > Exploded View >

When you do this in draft mode it will ask you to pick the view you want to modify and then ask which components you want to show.

Unless exploded views have changed, when placed on a drawing, they become imported views and are static. Updates to the explosion state require removing and replacing the view.

"Fixed in the next release" should replace "Product First" as the PTC slogan.

Thanks for the responses. Michael, your suggestion works great. I find it strange that if you edit the exploded view on the modeling side the drawing view doesn't follow, but maybe there is a good use for it.
