i need to explode a series of polylines into their constituent parts to re-position certain aspects of my drawing, and i know that when you do this, you lose the width, and the plines become lines. is there any way of reassigning a width to these lines to make them polylines again without having to go around and redraw them again?

also, just a quick question. is there a good way of filleting different polylines together to avoid the gap at the apex of the corner that i always get?

sorry if these are terribly basic questions. im sorta just having to learn cad on the job, so any help is very welcome.

To join your expoloded polylines, do:

- PEDIT
- M(ultiple)
<select entities>
- Y (for convert to polylines question)
- J(oin)
Accept the default value for fuzz distance
Hit enter to close the command

You should now have all of your lines and arcs from the original polyline back as a single polyline.

I don't follow your second question...

Do you really have to explode the polyline? If you click on the line, grips should appear where the segments join. Move them as you need to. Or, with PEDIT you can move along the polyline, insert points, move points, etc. Note: it may be necessary to DECURVE the polylines to edit them properly.

You can fillet two polylines with the &quot;FILLET&quot; command, specifying a new radius or using the previous value.
