Hello

Do anyone here know , if it is possible to export a dwg -file from NX drafting - so a 10 mm line lentgth still is 10 mm long after translation in the new dwg-file.

Of course - if the scale view in NX is 1:1 it´s no problem.

But if the scale view is 2:1 in NX - the line in the new dwg file is 20 mm..

When you say 'export' are you talking about translating to some other CAD format, such as IGES or STEP? If so, then I'm not aware of an option which would alllow anything other than an attempt to convert the drawing based on the scale of the views and the drawing itself. The geometry should be converted without any concern for 'scale' but the drawing views will be converted however they need to be to give an equivalent result in the target CAD system.

hello

Of cource, I have to explain a little bit better.

In NX(6) I´m in drafting .I have a drawing with a view in scale 2:1.

Let´s say the view is a block 20mm length and 10mm witdh.
If I creat a dwg file of that view , and then if I import this dwg file into MasteCam , the length of the block is now 40mm and the width is 20mm.

Can I avoid to set the scale 1:1 before creating dwg file in NX ?

(please,don´t answer " Why I use MasteCam"

If this is going to be your typical workflow, I would simply add a second sheet to your drawing and insert a view in which the scale is set to 1:1 and use THAT view when you export your 'drawing' to MasterCAM.

Why are you doing the DWG file? MasterCAM can read a STEP file of your solid model and machine off that. There is also a MC add-in that will allow MC to directly read the NX solid model in Parasolids format.
