Export a part and modify it in autocad

I want export a part and modify it with autocad.
I've a problem: i save it as a .sat file, but when in autocad i try to import it, there is this error message:

È impossibile leggere il file ACIS C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Analisi\aggancio.sat

There is somebady who knows how resolve the problem?

Some ideas:
1. Try an Autocad forum.
2. Try to export in IGES format and use an other decent CAD program which "leggere" IGES (since as far as I know Autocad does not "leggere" IGES imports). You can import IGES to Mechanical Desktop, though.
3. Same as 2. but for STEP and VDA formats
