I'm new to SolidWorks and am using 2006 SP0.0. I was going to begin generating some part, drawing and assembly templates. I would like to set up the part templates and then transfer the document options to the drawing and assembly templates. I've looked in the SW help and searched on this site for related threads, but no luck yet. At the very least it would be nice to be able to export to a text file the document options.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

After modifying your part/drawing/assembly like you like them, File > Save as > under save as type, pick template. For drawings also use File > Save sheet format.

For modifying existing part/drawing/assembly files with your new settings, see my reply for:

The document properties are different for parts, assemblies, and drawings, although some of them are similar. You will have to set up templates for each file type individually.

Thanks guys!
I downloaded the excel file from the swtools site and started comparing the part and drawing options tabs. Once I saw some differences pop up, I realized I'd have to set them up separately. The excel file will provide a good reference when setting up the other file types.
