Hi

Our marketing guy wants to know if we can use our SolidWorks models to create simple flash animations for the website.

I have no experience with Flash so is this possible??

Thanks

Here is another program that has additional features.

CapturePad 0.1 beta is a video capture utility which allows you to capture any screen activity into standard AVI file, JPG sequence and even into Flash SWF file. Besides that CapturePad works with any video hardware attached to the computer so you can easily grab and save a video from your webcam, tv tuner, etc.

Not if you're taking screen shots (recording whatever is on your screen). Is that what you're doing?

Have you checked into using eDrawings 2007 on the site? You can integrate it into your web page (for Internet Explorer, anyway--I think you need ActiveX controls).

Otherwise there are other ways to view 3D stuff on the Internet from SW models. But keep in mind, SolidWorks never creates 2D vector stuff (except maybe in the case of drawings), since it uses 3D models as a medium. Illustrator may be what you're looking for if you need 2D scalable stuff.
