I am exporting a parts only BOM to excel with inventor 2009. Everything exports fine and shows up the way it does when viewed in inventor.

When opened in excel it rearranges the order of the parts, but is fine since i started renumbering the parts 001 on and can easily sort back into order (but if someone knows how to fix this it would be appreciated too).

Where I really need help is I set up the columns so it displays mass then material. problem is mass reads:
" '1.234 lbmass "
for something that weighs 1.234 pounds. is there anyway to get rid of the " ' " that sets the weight to the left of the column and the "lbsmass" units.

I want to sum the weights of each type of material with out going through each column deleting the prefix and sufix then changing the column format to number. I would happily use either an excel feature or inventor feature if they hasten this process.
