Hello everyone,
I ran into a problem of coupling the explicit module with other modules such as Static structural, Modal ...etc. (I am using Ansys wb 19.1)
Exportation of the geometry in the form of an STL file does not help me here since the STL file contains no information regarding the strain hardening etc. As I learned previously with the use of Abaqus, the metal forming process is simulated with explicit methods ... the springback process is then analysed by using implicit methods ... etc. Not to mention that the Modal analysis might be helpful after all this is done.
My question would be: How do I couple the explicit module with the static structural one... and further ... with the modal one? How can I export results from my explicit analysis so that I can use them for further analyses using different modules - Static Structural and Modal?
the forming process is simple. The load is applied locally by two thin rolls which are pressed onto a thin surface from opposite directions. The rolls are then rolled over the entire surface causing a small localized plastically deformed region.
I´ve seen this tutorial but the version 19.1 does not contain the FE modeller interface (described at around 18mins 30s).
Thank you in advance.
with kindest regards
M
