Can the units of an expression be changed after it is created ?
The model file is in metric, so the length expressions are in millimeters, but there are some that I would like to show in inches.
I thought there was an easy way to do this, but I just can't remember.
I am on NX10

If you mean can you create a NEW Expression using different units than what the base units of the Part model is, then YES. However, once an Expression is created, its units can't be changed. Now if the Expression has NOT yet been used elsewhere or referenced, you can always Delete it and create a new Expression using different units.

I don't know of any way to convert an expression's units after it is created in interactive NX. I wrote a journal a while back that will convert all the part's expressions from inch to mm (or vice-versa). If you want to convert only certain dimensions, the code could be modified to handle that.

So, if I replace a sketch dimension; How would I changed the units of that dimension before I place it down ?

Exit the sketch. Go to menu -> analysis and change the displayed units to lbm-in. Edit the sketch, new length expressions will default to inches.
