Looking for some help here. I have a composite laminate in which each ply is represented by a layer of solid elements. There are 8 plies total, with the stacking sequence being [0/45/-45/90]s. A generic MAT9 card is used. When the property field is assigned, a material CID aligned with the ply orientation is used.

Someone mentioned that there is a command that will print out the stiffness matrix for each property relative to a global or fixed coordinate system. The reason I want this is that I need the ply stiffness matrix relative to a certain coordinate system to be used in another application.

Any help would be appreciated.

If I well understood You want to calculate the property of the laminate on Nastran.
What you could do is to print out the property of a PCOMP card made of MAT8. (For Shell elements)

To do So you should set System Cell 361 to 1.
In this way you have computed and printed the equivalent PSHELL/MAT2 property.

Hope this help
Regards
