Hello there,

I would like to extrapolate thermal flux values (HFL) on a virtual horizontal straight line which crosses my non-regular mesh (see red line in the attached file). I'd like to have this values on something like 100 points belonging to that line at regular distance.

Is there any built-in method in Abaqus CAE or any routine in Python which could help me?

many thanks, Alex

Create a path (Tools-Path-Create) between the two end nodes (or geometric points) on your line of interest. Then create some XY data (Tools-XY Data-Create) using the "Path" as the source data. Make sure you check the box "include intersections" then plot the XY data.
