Hi,
I am trying to make a cut along a curved rib, without extruding past the rib. The ribs are not straight when viewed from the top, nor is their profile straight from the side (see attachment - pics B & C are what I'm aiming for, drawn in Catia).
At the moment, as you can see in pic A, I have cut the two outer ribs by crudely extruding through them from an offset datum plane.
Is there a way that I can project a sketch onto the ribs, then extrude through them without passing beyond the other side of the rib, eg. stop the extrusion on the back surface?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Chris
