I am working on vertical inline multistage pump (VS8) and I lnow that these pumps have standard face to face dimensions like butterfly valves have for pipe connection. But I can not find related standard for pumps.

Well a VS pump type is to API 610, but I can't find any standard dimensions for VS pumps in API 610.

I'm not sure that this actually exists. Unlike valves the pump is usually the item you pipe to, not slot in slot out or interchange with another vendors pump.

I agree with you that pumps are different than valves in the sense of piping. But I looked at different catalogues of different manufacturers and face to face dimension of flanges of the pump was same in every case. That's why i thought, there might be standard which is defining this dimension.

Why not ask a manufacturer?

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

I have never heard of the term 'VS8' or any dimensional standard for these pumps. Where did you get that term from?

Vertical shaft pumps are catagorized depending upon their construction. These pumps are named as VS0 to VS8. You can refer ANSI/HI 2.1-2.2.
