FACE TO FACE LENGTH OF BRONZE GATE VALVE 2

DEAR FRIENDS,

BELOW IS THE SPECS OF BRONZE GATE VALVE WHICH MENTIONS F TO F LENGTH AS 152 MM, BUT MY MANUFACTURER IS SAYING F TO F OF 152 MM IS WRONG & IT SHOULD BE 81±1.5 MM AS PER THEIR STANDARD. WHEN WE INFORMED OUR CLIENT, HE WANT F TO F LENGTH AS PER THEIR SPECS ONLY. CAN ANY ONE HELP ME ON THIS. WE CANNOT CHANGE THE MANUFACTURER AS OUR CLIENT IS INSISTING ON THAT MANUFACTURER.

what specification / standard / code are these valves designed to?

B16.10 has 152 being a Y globe or Y check valve at 3/4" #150 or a #300 3/4" gate valve is 152.

However it lists a 3/4" #150 gate valves as 117mm, therefore the 81mm looks like it is a different code.

You could therefore specify a #300 valve drilled to # 150 flange dimensions?? Given that bronze may be de-rated compared to steel, to meet your pressure requirements you could easily have a #300 valve here, but drilled to #150

As LittleInch states,it is not uncommon to see specs for (especially) smaller bronce casted valves from different or odd standards and in 'long' and 'short' patterns, also differing in lengths from details in type. As stated you have to check exactly (ask for complete copies withe measurements) what valves and specification the different parties are referring to.

Alternatively: ask if pipeline can be changed, or if the supply of short valves can be accepted with fabricated 'spool pieces' or fabricated or standard mounting pieces between the valves and pipeline.
