Hello all. I have inherited a preliminary system design that I must be certain that it works. The working fluid is air. I have a compressor that feeds into booster pump that feeds into 2 blowdown tanks then goes to an air dryer. A basic blow down facility.
My questions are as follows:
What are the design parameters I should be concerned with as far as saftey and functionality?
What is the effect of the booster pump on the tank pressure?(ie. it raises the pressure, but what happens to flow rate when in use? dynamic vs. static, etc.)
When this system is put in use with a regulator at the end of the pipe run, what factors determine line gauge pressure and flow rate upstream of the regulator?
What equations can I use to predict flow rate given volume of the tank and compressor and booster pump specifications?

Thanks for your time!
