Factor of Safety for Tensile Loading

Dear Sir,

I am using HDPE pipes for Submersible Bore Wells. For Safe Design, what is the Factor Of Safety (F.S) we have to use.

ie., Max. Allowable Tensile Stress = Yield Stress/F.S
