Fall restraint anchorage point capacity. 3

For fall arrest system anchor point must be withstand min. 5000 lb force/person. However, what is OSHA recommended fall restraint anchorage point minimum capacity? Is it the same as the fall arrest anchor point? I have read min. 1000 lb/person for fall restraint anchor point in some technical bulletins (3M) but can't verify with OSHA standard.

This interpretation might be of interest.

First you need to " ensure" that a fall arrest siuation cant happen.

This seem to say 3000 lbs is recommended. Not much difference to 5000....

systems shall be independent of any anchorage being used to
support or suspend platforms and must be capable of supporting at
least 5,000 pounds (22.2 kiloNewtons) per person attached.

Positioning Device Systems - 1926.502(e)
These body belt or body harness systems are to be set up so
that a worker can free fall no farther than 2 feet (0.6 meters).
They shall be secured to an anchorage capable of supporting at
least twice the potential impact load of an employee’s fall or
3,000 pounds (13.3 kiloNewtons), whichever is greater.
