Basically, how to annoy your neighbors no matter what they like!

we have a neighborhood decorating contest every year ... my immediate next door neighbor has always won since 2008. I would summarize his strategy as "put as many holiday-related items in your front yard as possible." It's essentially the same display each year, with the addition last year of some 3d-printed brackets that I provided to help with some of his signage, and a 3d-printed tent stake (sorta) that I provided this year to replace a broken item.

I've suggested to my wife that a potential path to victory would be to buy as many lights as we can afford and pile them arbitrarily on our lawn.

There's usually nothing better than the first time, which would be the Wizards of Winter light shows that came out in 2004-2005.

Now they have a contest for 50K as to who among four families can put up the best display. Watched a couple of episodes last night to my chagrin. I believe it was called "Christmas Light Wars", or something like that.

Yeah, I saw that. The guy who took time to bury the wires was, in my book, the most serious of the lot

Maybe you can get kits for electric cars so they can park nearby and get some inductive charging for free.
