Fast 3D but slow 2D

I'm in WF2 and I've got a fast machine that has no problem rotating large assemblies, but when I try to drag a dimension or note or view in 2D, it moves very slow and takes forever for the item to follow my mouse across the screen. I've tried to look for some setting but cannot find one. Has anyone seen this before?

I once had a new machine that was fine spinning 3D parts around but really struggled when in sketcher (very slow to update the display, sluggish performance). It had an Nvidia graphics card (don't remember which model). I simply downloaded and installed the latest driver from the Nvidia website and this solved the problem.

Thanks, but after reinstalling all drivers, I'm still having the same problem. Is it just that my video card is too wimpy? It's not on the official PTC approved list but does have 512M RAM. I had assumed that if it rotates 3D fine, 2D sketcher should not be a problem.

Many of the gamer 3D cards have crippled OPEN GL implementations just to make you spend 3 or 4 times as much for an official CAD version with identical GPU & RAM. I suspect this is your problem. There are sites that have firmware that lets convert some cards but as fast as the hackers come up with a solution the manufactures find new ways to stop them. Proceed at your own risk.
