Hello!

We just had to drain one of our anaerobic digester tanks to do some repairs at our plant - the Sikaflex 1a we used to seal a hatch back on the side states 5-7days before immersion. We don't have that time so we were able to utilize the Sikadur Combiflex system to bypass this step which only had a 1 day cure time and we are back up and running.

In the future I was hoping to find some product that will setup much faster and have similar properties to the Sikaflex 1a polyurethane based sealant. The combiflex system is great but it takes special stuff and wont always work in every application. Hoping to find something in a cartridge

Does anyone know of such a product? Thanks

What's the purpose of the sealant? Is it to be leak proof, gas proof, flexible, rigid etc.?
We like the Sikaflex 2c. It has a three day cure before submergance. It comes in containers, but needs to be mixed.
But note that Sika has a very good technical resource department. If you ask them, they might tell you that while the seven day (or three day), is ideal, a shorter time could be used. For instance, maybe using a one day cure causes discoloration. But what do you care about the color in a anaerobic digester?

Using it as a seal between steel covers and concrete tank. Some covers are man ways on the side and seal liquid. Others are on the roof and seal biogas

Use a catalytic cured urethane such as Tremco Dymeric or Sonneborn NP-2
