Hi.
Seems like I'm the only one with this error. Had to create this account here just for that problem.
PROE WF4 F000

It begins in the installation, around the third page, where you select which features you want to install: By default, Mechanica is not marked, and if I try to mark it, the install crashes when pointing on it (Repeat: By simply pointing at it), then comes the send/don't send error repor, etc...

Formatted the computer, installed XP sp3 and all NetFrameworks until 4: It worked... I could play around with the program until the next day, when the problem started to occur on the program itself.
Know those drop-down menus... File, edit, view, etc... ask if you can point to them?
(No, you can't, and there's simply no error message, it just quits).
Let's reinstall the program... guess you what happens?
Let's reinstall the program on the safe mode...
Hmm... I can select Mechanica!
But... Will I work with this program forever on the safe mode?
Formatted again... clean OS...
Installed normally, but...
Crashed on the first run...
Can anyone tell me what is going on here?
The program gives me no tips to how fix it...
Also, I'm new on the program, go slow with the terminologies..
Thanx forward.

Have you license for Mechanica ?

Wildfire is very nice, if you know,
how work with him

Got it! got it...
It's not a license problem... it would have appeared later on installation.
It's a Conflict with another program: WindowBlinds
(A skin changer for windows)
It bugs out the menus, causing the crashes (only on PTC). Simple as that.
So, spread the word: if someone wants to use this program, remeber to exclude the PTC processes (nmsd.exe, xtop.exe, and pro_comm_msg.exe) from it's skinning list, so there shouldn't be any other issues.
Problem solved.
