Fatal Error 0x0000 @3600cle8h

Hello,
He are trying to install AutoCAD 2004, and use it in conjuction with Via WD (soon to be called AutoCAD Electric?)
When I attempt to plot, I get Fatal Error: Unhandled Access
Violation Reading 0x0000 Exception at 3600cle8h. I searched
the AutoCAD site and came up with nothing. This error also occurs when using some of Via's commands (though at the moment I am not loading Via because of other issues)
This error is frequently accompanied by the message: "Unable to create new color palette."
I haven't changed anything from the installation - no new anything.
Any hints?

this error frecuently is generated by the use of the "Copy , paste" feature, in the edit menu. you can avoid this error using block and insert command instead of.
