I have a customer who is requesting cyclic calculations on a few vessels for them. What is the best software to run a fatigue analysis on a pressure vessel? I use SolidWorks for my CAD and Codeware Compress for my ASME calculations. Is the module within SolidWorks Simulation suitable? I have heard about NozzlePRO, but did not know if that did cyclic calculations.

Thanks!

If you have the COMPRESS version that does FEA nozzle analysis
(it's actually Nozzle Pro), you can input the loads and select
fatigue analysis in the appropriate load case.

If you have never done this before, then I respectfully suggest that you simply walk away and tell your client that this is not your area of expertise. These calculations are MUCH more than just can be captured by any single software package. You will need the knowledge and expertise along with experience to work with you and whatever software you choose. I've seen inexperienced amateurs use the most sophisticated software and get it wrong. And I've seen experts do this by hand and get better answers than anyone else.

FYI - all shell-element based FEAs will likely give you the wrong answer for fatigue (at least not without massive experienced-based judgements on SIFs).
