Hi,
I am looking for fatigue curves of unnotched A6Z1.
In "Smithells Light Metals Handbook" I have found some data for R=-1. I have found also on MIL-HDBK-5H some curves for AZ31B-F (figure 4.2.1.4.8 (a)). It is stated that "AZ61A is much like AZ31B in general characteristics" but if I compare data from this two references, some discrepancy exisits (for 10e7 cycles, 69MPa is given in MIL-HDBK-5H while 124MPa in the Smithells...)
Someone has some data for this kind of material?
Thank you in advance

Fatigue data on AZ61-F from Fatigue Data Book: Light Structural Alloys [ASM International, 1995]:

R = -1, 10[sup]2[/sup] cycles

as-forged 75 Mpa
polished 145 Mpa

as-extruded 85 MPa
polished 155 MPa

Similar data on polished specimens from recent journal article: "Effects of humidity and temperature on the fatigue behaviour of an extruded AZ61 magnesium alloy", Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures, vol 28, n4, 2005, p373-379, Sajuri, et al. They obtained stress amplitude of 140-150 MPa on polished specimens, which dropped to ~ 110 MPa when ambient humidity increased to 80%.
