Does anyone know a source on the internet for fatigue limits of various stainless steels? Matweb.com does not seem to have this information. Thanks!

Can anybody inform me if you find any sites on web related with flexible machine elements such as belts, chains, flexible shafts ropes etc. I could be happy by this information. thanks...

Although I haven't found a website with comprehensive fatigue/endurance curves, I will mention that I did find some curves in the Appendices of Section III of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (B&PVC). Tables I.9.1, I.9.2, and so on, have such curves for various common materials.

But if anyone does find a website with this kind of information, I'm still interested.

Your'e best bet would be the "MIL-HNDBK-5". This is the military material specs. These are the only docs that I have seen that have the fatigue curves (S/N versus Stress)
Specs can be obtained from "Globe Engineering Documents"
Some curves are available from some manufacturers, you might try them.

I get all my MIL-Specs from
It's free and most standards are there for download. MIL-HDBK-5H is a huge .pdf file (42.5K) and takes quite a while to download. I recommend downloading late at night. Many times my download failed before I finally got it because of busy server activity, on their end and mine.

Enjoy,

There is another Web site for free downloading mil specs: I would suggest download a MIL-HDBK (usually big files) in segments, e.g. from page 1 to page 100, or by chapters one at a time, etc to avoid failures, etc.

Good luck!
