Does anyone know where to find fatigue values for 316SS?

This seems like it would be easily available, and easily accessible. But we have been unable to locate such information. We've look at ASTM, and ASME standards. We've also contacted our material vendors for the info, but they either did not respond or said that they do not have such info available.

We need this info to provide to CSA (Canadian Standards Association) for an approval. They have been 100% unhelpful in providing assistance. They would not even provide us with names of other customers with the same approvals who we could contact to pick their brains on where they found their info.

Can anyone let me know where we can get such data?

kcme2005;
I may be taking a wild stab at this but I presume from your post you may be dealing with fatigue design of a pressure vessel? If so, an alternative approach is to use the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 2, Design Based on Fatigue Analysis, Article 5-1 (2006 Addendum/2004 Edition of the Section VIII, Div 2).

The applicable S-N curve for 3xx series stainless is plotted in Article 5-1 and can be used for fatigue design of a pressure retaining item. The curve is for code approved material, so I would think that if you purchase the 316 ss to an ASME SA specification, you can use the design curve in Article 5-1 to back door your way for validation of your design to CSA.

Did you try contacting the folks who posted or responded to the other 316SS threads?

although you answer may not be in the threads they might have links to better sources

Saw all these while looking for anything on my quest for 17-4PH cast fatigue info.
