I'm going to examinate the Fluids Control Institute standard FCI 70-2-2003 about Control Valve Seat Leakage (formerly known as "ASME 16.104"), with reference to its previous edition (1991).
Has anybody already faced this comparison?
I've already noticed the extension of Leakage Class V to air (instead of water only). Are there other important changes?

Many thanks, 'NGL

Please take also a look at Thread408-122060 about the standard in object.

Thanks, 'NGL

The other threads appear to add little. I lack a copy of the current FCI 70-2. Although not specifically for control valves, other standards address valve seat leakage. Examples may include API SPEC 6FC, API STD 607, API STD 589, API STD 598, API STD 608.

Is FCI-20-2003 being coordinated with IEC standards for consistency - similar to other industrial standards?

jsummerfield,
yes, FCI-70-2 (formerly called "ANSI B16.104"...) is coordinated with IEC 60534, Part 4.

Hope this helps, 'NGL
