Greetings,

Considering starting a job search, looking for a good career building move. Not really unhappy where I am just see limited options for growth.

Saw some commentary about recruiters in other threads so though I would post a question of my own. Does anyone have any experience working with The Ladders? For a fee this outfit claims to be a comprehensive job matching service for high paying jobs.

I have worked with various recruiters over the years but have never been exposed to anything like this.

Thanks,

JoeChem

I would equate services like that to the online dating sites. Paying a fee might get you some positions that weren't available before, as with any recruiter... but I still don't think you should have to pay them. They should get their money from the companies looking for employees.

I have always been advised not to utilize the services of a feed paid by the candidate recruiting agency.

Personally I am not a fan of The Ladders. I have seen a couple of referrals that I believe were listed for free elsewhere.

I really like Beyond.com, as they deliver search notices that are more closely related to the jobs I am interested in.

Just my 2 cents (and worth every penny [bigsmile])

I have never been impressed with the site either.
