what is the difference between solkor and differential protection on feeders

Solkor is the brand name for one type of feeder differential protection. It is manufactured by Reyrolle.

There is different types of Solkor-relays:
Solkor-M, Solkor-N, Solkor-R etc.

For comparative purposes, you might like to consider the Translay systems from GEC. Some would argue that Solkor is superior to Translay (but he did work for Reyrolle!). Both are well known and well-documented systems.
