I need some opinions on the following:
1. I have an existing 100,000 sf industrial building (1000'along riverx 100' wide)along a river approximately 15' from the bank of the river. Existing FFE is 100.00. Existing 100 year BFE is 100.46. We are raising the FFE to 101.75 more than a 1' above BFE. However the lowest adjacent grade to the building will still be at 99.15. Will FEMA deny removal of this structure from the SFHA and LOMR because of this adjacent grade?
2. Would you consider this building waterproofed if we put a waterproofing membrane system against the existng wall from proposed FFE to existing FFE with perimeter drain tile at elevation 100 and daylighting it to the river? In essence during 100 year flood, water would back up into the drain tile.
Thanks
