I primarly used hypermesh (pre-post), optistruct (linear solver and optimizer) and LSdyna (explicit) in automotive industry. Now we have some aerospace products to be analysed. I was impressed by fellow members in this forum about the capability of NEiNastran for the price. As we already have hypermesh, is it necessary to have FEMAP that come along NEiNastran? We can reduce the price, if we skip FEMAP. Hypermesh is a great tool in generationg very comples models with high quality elements. I do not know about FEMAP. Is FEMAP compulsary required to build the complex NASTRAN decks involving advanced analysis? How Hypermesh and FEMAP stand in supporting NASTRAN for advanced analysis in NASTRAN, particularly with composite materials? Thanks..
