The FEMAP API exposes objects, methods, and functions that help users develop scripts or entire applications for engineering computations. These computations can take time, due to the fact that the BASIC code is interpreted rather than compiled. In the short video below, I would like to demonstrate how to boost the performance of your API algorithms by including a C++ DLL. Check out this video to learn how:

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for this tutorial.

I would like to implement a user-defined composite material law into Femap. The material law includes an elastic area and then damage propagation (bilinear law).

Does the API in Femap is the technical tool? Do I need a compiler? If yes which one?

I am used to Abaqus subroutines written in Fortran so I am trying to understand how it works in Femap.

Thank you for any information you can provide.
