Hello all,
I am a beginner here.
Femap offers many types of output option for post processing..
They have elemental contour, nodal contour, with min max and average options..
also the element contours with corner data, or element contour without averaging..etc etc etc...

Among all these option what is the realistic stress generated in actual material?
What is best estimate for the practical consideration
What you experienced FEA guys consider for real world answers?

Please advise..
Thanks in advance..

It's very hard to answer to your question.
I guess you to look for a good book with practical examples because the correct answer depends on many parameters.

The quickest answer is : all the result postprocessing is useful for get the correct response. If the results change small when you look different post the result may be good.

Best regards

Andrea Mino

Thanks Andrea..
I guess the size of the mesh controls the nodal and elemental stress values.. If we have fine mesh these values should be same.
