I am currently looking for the Over Excitation curves for a Ferranti-Packard Transformer. I am not asking any of you to find me the curves or anything. I am trying to find there home page so I can get a contact, but I am having trouble.

Does anyone know if they were bought out? Powels maybe?

any info as to where I can find this company would be great!

Apparently, Ferranti-Packard is now part of Siemens/VA TECH Ferranti-Packard Transformers Limited.
For verification or inquires, here is point of contact in Pittsburg:
Ms Regina Reed
Tel: (724) 514-8474
Fax: (724) 514-8472
E-mail: regina.reed@vatech-usa.com

Good luck.

Ferranti Packard used to have an operation in St. Catherines in Ontario. Possibly special duty transformers, although I'm not sure? We have two rectifier transformers from this works.

Ferranti-Packard is now part of Siemens and yes the transformers used to be made in St.Catherines, however, they are now manufactured in Mexico.

We just bought some, I will not get into the messing details of delays, test failures etc...

Hi Tulum,

How recent is that acquisition by Siemens? I had contact with the St. Catherine's works about a year ago when they were part of VA Tech, but they didn't want to build a rectifier transformer for us. A shame: they lost the order, and we bought a spare transformer from elsewhere that isn't physically a direct swap for the existing one.
