Ferrite core supplier needed... 2

Hi all! I'm an engineer in a CO2 Laser power supply factory, and we finished the ferrite cores to make the High voltage transformer... Now we are looking for someone who can make them custom for us, or has them in their catalogue. Here you can find a description of what I need:

The first hit I got from Google was

This company's website seems to have links to all the major western manufacturers.

Philips - who appear to have resurrected the Ferroxcube name at some point in time - used to have an excellent range of cores and sections to form larger custom cores, and also published a very useful book called 'Soft Ferrites', reference MA01. My copy dates from 1991.

An old Philips core which is very similar to your photograph, other than the spacing of the two core limbs which is slightly closer, is U57/28/16. The cross-section is very similar, as is the height of the limbs. Philips (Ferroxcube) may be able to do a custom core if you are looking for OEM quantity.

I've contacted MAGNETICS in the past. One of their applications engineers even sent me free samples to see what best suited my application.

The Philips range as ScottyUK says, and TDK also can supply those large U cores in identical sizes to the Philips range. So you may have two prospective suppliers if you select the right core size.

In my past experience TDK have been much more helpful than Philips in supplying the actual parts in small quantities for R&D testing. Philips are excellent at supplying commercial quantities but do not want to know about small orders.

Getting something custom made will be horribly expensive and the number of parts you would need to order truly huge to justify it.
